Chinese New Year just passed and I must say, I was more excited about the drinking than collecting ang baos. Spent the night of CNY eve at Cheryl's getting drunk and playing ridiculous drinking games, which resulted in me having to go visiting whilst feeling like a zombie.

And you'd think I'd have learnt my lesson but once again, I drank a little too much on Tuesday night and felt like a zombie at work on Wednesday night. But all's been said and done, and here are the pictures from Cheryl's party on CNY eve.

A brand new year, a brand new semester. I'm finally going back to school after spending 2 years serving the nation and protecting the country.

Come Tuesday, I will embark on my quest to quench my thirst for knowledge. That's provided I don't get distracted halfway like in Lord of the Rings when the four dwarves met the walking trees and trolls.

The stereotypical black kid that runs really fast and the ginger kid without a soul.

So I did a little research online for some back to school tips and I found the following excerpt extremely helpful.

"When teachers do the talking on the first day, they often go over classroom rules so you'll know what's allowed and what's not. Pay close attention so you'll know if you need to raise your hand to ask a question and what the rules are about visiting the restroom."

And if that wasn't helpful enough, here are some tips of my own on becoming the coolest kid in school. Or anywhere else in the world for that matter.

Smoking. Forget what the myths tell you. Smoking IS cool.
Extreme sports. Skating, biking, surfing are all cool activities. Don't worry if you can't actually surf or skate, just tell everyone you can. No one's gonna know.
Getting high/drunk. Tell everyone about how wasted you got over the weekends. +10 cool points if you got wasted on a weeknight. Again, it doesn't matter if you actually got drunk/high, just act like you did.
Talk about how lame everything/everyone is. If everyone is lame, that makes you cool.
Learn to speak like a black person. Words like "dawg" and "shizzle" may not mean anything to you, but it's hip to talk like that.
Alternatively, you could just say "dude......" all the time. Gives you the appearance of being constantly stoned and as we all know, drugs are cool.
Ditch that guitar and get with the turntables. Face it, electronic music is in. Everything else out.
Beatboxing.
Dress outrageously and call yourself a fashionista, even though you may look suspiciously like a Gaga fangirl.
Most importantly, just be yourself.

Pictures taken on new year's at Home Club are finally out, but it wasn't really what I'd expected. I mean it's almost like the photographer was drunk half the time. Well you'll find out what I mean soon enough.

Went down to Home Club on New Year's Eve for Dubpocalypse. Fun fact: Did you know that Dubstep caused the Apocalypse? I didn't know that, but it sounds like a pretty good way to bring an end to the world.

Happy Holidays: Christmas Edition

It's finally 2012 and I've got a very strong feeling that it's gonna be a good year. Ended the year with a bang at Home Club and so far this year has been going well for me. Spent the day recuperating from last night/last year's drinking and I'm finally feeling well enough to blog.

Managed to squeeze Christmas pictures out from Cam so that's also a good sign that this year will go smoothly for me. No, I'm not superstitious, I'm just stitious. (LOL @Office reference, for any of you that watch The Office.)

About Christmas:
So Cam, Hansen, Nat and I spent Christmas Eve working. Which is why we decided to go for drinks on Christmas night itself. We found ourselves at Rebel because everywhere else at Clarke Quay just didn't seem as appealing.

Hansen was definitely not sober. And I will not admit to being drunk. Because I wasn't. I swear.

All in all, I think we drank a reasonable amount of alcohol. Why we all got as tipsy as we did though, that I cannot explain. But I guess the most important thing was that everyone had fun. Oh and I remember we were trying to sell Nat to random stranger women.

"Hi would you like to buy our friend for just $5? No? How bout $1? Still no? 50 cents? C'mon just take him already, free of charge."

Yepp, good times. Sorry Nat :( You know you're worth more than that.

Luckily for us, there were no mistletoes.

Celebrated Chen Yan's birthday on the 17th at Amber21. It's customary for the birthday boy/girl to be drunk beyond his/her mind, but because of my merciful nature, Chen Yan survived the night even though he got me piss-drunk on my birthday this year.

Oh and this was also a celebration for Dennis who got registered for marriage. So it was pretty much a 2-in-1 celebration. So much happiness in one day. And then some at night.

So recently, there's all this hype about that Aaron Tan video and everyone's quoting lines from it, to a point where it's so overused it becomes unfunny. It's like making fun of the Rebecca Black song. The joke's been wrung dry and it's not funny anymore. People need to stop waddling in the mainstream and dive deep into the underground.

Take this next video for example, it's also pretty much a waste of time like the Aaron Tan video, just that it's slightly under 4 minutes long. So technically you're throwing less of your life away.

Also, check out the number of views on the video. This makes you indie as fuck and your underground points will increase exponentially. People will call you the guru of relatively unknown YouTube videos. But considering you got this video from my blog, this makes me more underground than you. Fuck yeah me.

In other news, there actually is a fuckyeahme.tumblr.com. Not half as awesome as Happy Guns but the URL is pretty kickass.

One last piece of advice, stop going to gyms. Join an underground fight club instead. It's more badass.

I wonder if anyone's ever tried sitting in their room and just listening to The Cure on repeat for the whole day. Or Manic Street Preachers. Or Violent Femmes.

On a lighter note, I'm starting school in January, and school is only 2 days a week. Tuesdays and Fridays from 2pm to 5pm. So I'll be having a shitload of time on my hands. More time away from school means more time to study! Or more time for fun. Either way works for me.

So we went down to Zirca just the other night and guess who we met there? Stick around till the end of the post to find out. Most people have met local celebrities and that's really not surprising since Singapore is so small. We're bound to bump into someone or another.

But meeting an international pop sensation is an even bigger deal. I mean, what are the odds? And she was really friendly, totally humble. She's also not one to let fame get to her head. First things first, photos of the less famous people.

2011 Hong Kong Trip Part 3 (Finally)

So it's been almost an entire month since I last posted. This is a testament to how lazy I can be, so doubters don't be doubtin'. Anyway, I'm still in a pretty lazy mood but considering the fact that I just woke up, it's pretty much a miracle for me to be able to find even the tiniest bit of motivation to start on a new blog post.

Here are the pictures I promised you in my previous post, the nightlife in Hong Kong. Not as much photos as I'd expected but then again we don't take very good pictures when we're getting wasted. Sometimes, we might even completely forget to take pictures. Hence, you will see in the following photos that it was all taken BEFORE drinking.

First night in Lan Kwai Fong.

This was when we made friends with the Hong Kong gangster (香港黑社會大佬，蘭桂坊渣fit人。) while bar-hopping and he bought us like a million drinks.

Moving on to our second night at Lan Kwai Fong, we decided to go clubbing for a change. CLubbing in Hong Kong is pretty much the same as when we do it in Singapore, except we get way better service probably because we're tourists. Also, cos Sean was flirting with the manager.

As usual, Jonny disappeared halfway through the night and fell asleep somewhere. Found him about an hour later and all was fine. Drunk boy was drunk but 'twas a good thing he didn't puke into his shoes unlike someone else. I won't be mentioning names just in case Sean gets upset.

Opened a bottle of 151 at this club called Club Likuid. Chinese peepl not very gud at speling.

3 person to a bottle, spent about HKD $1,250. Pretty cheap.

So I know I did say I'll update about the final part of my Hong Kong trip soon, but I've been busy as of late (in this case, 'busy' can also be replaced with 'lazy'). I've recently just started work at Home Club so I'm not going out as much as before.

2011 Hong Kong Trip Part 2

Now for part 2 of the trip as promised, where we visited Madame Tussauds as well as the highest mountain on Hong Kong Island..

Going to Madame Tussauds was probably the best non-drinking activity throughout the whole trip. I mean, an exact wax replica would be the closest we would get to famous people, especially those that are no longer alive. Watching House of Wax did not stop us from having a good time there, probably because I'm really brave and I could protect the two of them from scary monsters and serial killers.

We were greeted by paparazzi at the entrance of Madame Tussauds.

After leaving Madame Tussauds, we embarked on our ardous journey to the Peak. Yes, the Sky Terrace is the highest viewing platform in Hong Kong, standing at 428m above sea level. We took escalator after escalator, and went up storey after storey.

Finally made it to the top and the view was definitely worth all the standing on the escalators. Took us about 5 storeys to reach the Terrace from Madame Tussauds. It was draining but the experience was priceless (well actually it came up to about HKD200 each).

2011 Hong Kong Trip Part 1

Took a short and rather impromptu trip down to Hong Kong with Sean and Jonny last week. Stayed at Tung Chung since Sean's mom has a condo there. The air in Hong Kong is much better than back here in Singapore and also the weather was a lot less humid.

Ferried down to the central area on our second day for some shopping. Almost everything was a lot cheaper than the stores in Singapore, and they have a gigantic Apple store. All we have here are Apple re-sellers.

We were on a Vans ferry. Coolest ferry ever.

So we made it to the central area after a relatively short ferry ride and was pleasantly greeted by the low prices of fashion apparel.

Sometime around 5 in the afternoon, it started raining so we decided to seek refuge somewhere before heading down to the night market in Mongkok. And where else is a better place to do so than at a hotel lounge during Happy Hour? Drinks were going at two-for-one prices, so we went nuts with that. Pretty good deal, I must say.

The rain finally stopped and we headed down to Mongkok in search for quirky stuff at the night market. Did not manage to get weird sex toys, but we did see animal-shaped thongs for men. The place wasn't too crowded since we went on a weeknight, so there wasn't much squeezing to do.

I think everyone knows that these are all fake goods, yet vendors still try to pass them off as genuine.

RUSSELL'S BIRTHDAY DAY 1

CHAMPAGNE SHOWERS

I realised it's been about half a month since my last post, but trust me, I've been busy. Parties, and thinking of my soon-to-come ORD. In fact, I just got home from Russell's 3-day 2-night birthday party at NSRCC.

Fucking exhausted but it was one hell of a party. Thrashed the place on the first night, and then one more time on the second night. Blood on the mirrors, vandalized doors, broken glass everywhere, and underwear on the roof. Now that's the shit.

BIRTHDAY MONTH

Apologies for the excruciatingly long wait, but it's been a pretty busy and eventful week. Especially since my birthday was on the 18th.

So I was summoned down to Club Samurai by Chen Yan on Monday, and when I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see Adora, Ron, Andrew and Jessie too. It was a birthday surprise from Chen Yan. Though I have to admit that on the way down to the pub from home, I knew they weren't gonna let me off too easily.

True enough, within 45 minutes of my arrival, the alcohol was already kicking in.

VIP WEEKEND

Thanks to Russell, we all had access to the VIP area in Zouk and Butter this weekend. Also we got to enjoy free flow of drinks on Friday. So the night went one way on Friday, and then by about 12 I don't remember anything.

Things I remember:

We had some delicious mini sandwiches and also some really awesome mini quiches.
Also the apple vodkas that Beng ordered sparked a revolution. Everyone converted.

BUN JOVI'S FIRST TIME AT THE PARK

Decided to take BJ down to the park for a walk since the weather this morning was pretty good. Also Buns is getting tubby and he needs the exercise.

After spending a quarter of an hour coaxing him into wearing the harness (he sure hates it), I finally managed to get it on and brought him down for his first walk. Must've looked pretty ridiculous walking a bunny but luckily for me, there weren't many people at the park in the morning.

He's so curious it was adorable but as a guy, I had to keep my manly cool and suppress my squeals of delight. Managed to snap a few pictures using Instagram and they actually turned out pretty decent.

BUNNY SLEEPOVER

It's been more than a week since I've been on here, and boy has it been a busy week. Joy went overseas so she left her bunnies, Whiskey and Bourbon, in my care. So I had three bunnies to take care of this week.

Do you know how much noise three bunnies make at 1am in the morning? They make three times as much noise as one bunny. And the thing is, they're all male bunnies so they're not really friendly with each other so I can't really let them all out at the same time. Gotta take turns.

This is Bourbon. He's quite clever. Apparently he's able to escape from his cage.

EXTENDED WEEKEND

I've been on leave yesterday and today. Was celebrating Alice's birthday at Zouk on Wednesday night and she got completely wasted. In her semi-passed out state, we had a little conversation that went something like this:

Inside info: Fluffy, Pepper, Pixie and Skooter are the names of her hamsters, and Skooter has gigantic balls. Spongebob is a character from an American animated television series that was first aired on Nickelodeon.

Back to me being on leave, it's strange that I still wake up at 7 in the morning even though I could be sleeping in till 12 noon. But it's working out great for me. I have more time to watch bestiality videos whilst touching myself.

But I digress. It's almost 9 in the afternoon, I'm hungry and I'm gonna search for food.

Funny story:

Tried to get Vin a lap dance, but he was all, "I'm a committed man. I'm tempted but I can't..." Apparently he has this girl back in India, or at least that's what I made of it from the conversation. He was pretty drunk by that time, you see. So no lap dance, but then again, she did say she was 27.

Staying In The Shallow End Of The Pool Because You're Afraid Of Drowning.

I hate to compare, but this is really Deja vu. I think we'd all rather hear the painful truth all at once than have to suffer through the lies over an extended period of time. It's like a journey without a destination, a battle of endurance to see who'll be the first to drop dead.

The more I think about it, the more my mind won't let me sleep so once again, here I am. Perhaps some of us have that inexplicable need to be liked by everyone, even if it's only on a superficial level. But I don't see a point.

People love to hate and criticize, especially when they can sense the falseness in your smiles. I think it's better to be real and get hated, because with the hate comes a respect, a respect for the boldness to not give a fuck what the whole world thinks of you.

Being cold and aloof isn't real. Being real is having the courage to love, the courage to feel emotions, the courage to live. Being real is not being afraid to get hurt. By being real, you have to dare to feel.

BACK FROM BMT

It's been really long since I last updated.

*looks down at previous post*

LOL yeah reeeeaaaally long. But I've got my reasons. During this 1-month hiatus, I was away in Tekong for my little island getaway in Ninja company. Pes-C BMT recourse was a lot easier than what I had in mind, and even though Ninja was supposedly the worst company to be in, I had a pretty smooth-sailing time.

Smoke breaks almost as and when we want them, as well as a few colorful characters to keep us entertained. Also, Tekong food was a lot better than the shit I get in Kranji. Field camp was nothing compared to the Pulau Ubin camps I'd attended when I was a Scout in secondary school.

All in all, I had a nice and easy time there and people like Sunny Pal proved to be a valuable source of entertainment. Wrongly wired as he may be, it's still funny watching him make a complete fool out of himself.

How I spent my last few moments of 2010.

Had a farewell session for Yang Bing on the 30th because he was going back for good. One of the most drunk I've ever gotten in a long while. I remembered smashing a bottle just because (also I woke up with a cut on my finger), and I passed a piece of plastic to Ashley and asked her to keep it in her bag. I don't know why I did that.

Went for a nice egg breakfast with Ash, Eugene, Cheryl and Edmund at the cafe just downstairs of the room. And then went back up to take a nap, all the way till 3pm (we were pretty beat).

Then caught a cab down to Eugene's place where Edmund, Eugene and I had a NERF war. It was pretty much the highlight of my 2011 so far. But I have a feeling tonight's barbecue at the prawn farm will be awesome.

Hopefully, 2011 will be better than 2010 (which was complete shit made awesome only because of great friends), and I'm really looking forward to September. In the words of Billie Joe Armstrong, "Wake me up when September ends."

CHRISTMAS TIME FOR MY PENIS

Christmas turned out to be pretty amazing. Still my favorite holiday of the year.Great company, great alcohol, what more could one ask for? FREEDOM

I'll be on leave for the next two weeks. Saved my leave throughout the entire year so I can blow it all off at the very end. Feels really good. If only I can do that with my finances. Wouldn't it be nice if we could convert leave into money?

A QUICK RECAP

So much has happened since the last post:

Timothy's ORD party on Friday at Powerhouse.
Jon Seah's YOG Barbeque on Saturday, not to mention heading down to Club Samurai after that with Wei Ling.
Then there was that barbeque at the prawn farm on Sunday.
Monday night was spent at Club Armani with Tim, Boon, Brian and Master Chang.
And Chips on Tuesday Of course.

To conclude my point, I didn't really have enough sleep for the past few days and it's a wonder how I managed to stay awake in camp. Also, much has been happening in camp. There will be a change of power very soon. I sense a disturbance in the force.

And to top it all off, I will be going for my BMT re-course in January. It's not too bad though, considering it'll only be for a month. And then I'll be another pay day closer to my ORD date. 9 more months from now. It's a little hard to believe I'm already more than halfway through.

On a different note, my count is now up to 27.

And on another different note, completely unrelated to the two aforementioned notes, I want a bunny. Because I love rabbits.

2 BIRTHDAYS IN A WEEK?

PEER PRESSURE = BAD PRATA

So I told myself I would stop clubbing, and I did stop for about a year. But recently, I've been going again because my friends want to. Peer pressure is owning me.

Last night was hectic. Went down to Noora's at about 6-ish for her pool party, but had to leave after a while. (Noora, I hope you saved the tequila! Please bring it in Sunday when you come over.)

Back to peer pressure, I was coaxed into staying for prata after clubbing, which was a big mistake. The prata was rather terrible and we were all tired. Also, taking care of a semi-tipsy, nonsense blabbering Chingy was no easy task.
